The Holy Monastery of Chilandari has a rich wine tradition as its monks have been making wine since 1198, as a result of which a legend has been created around the exceptional quality of the monastery wines. Truly a wine that will remind you of great Bordeaux wines. The Field of Agios Savvas is a special and special wine. The vineyards of Pedio tou Ag. Savva stretches from the slopes of Mount Athos to the sea, just below the imposing Milutin tower dating from the 14th century. The winery is located next to the vineyard, in the buildings located in the port of the Monastery. Both in appearance and quality, but also the location of the vineyards with the Tower give you the impression that it is a chateau by French standards. Amazing bottle and label that shows us the respect for the Holy Tradition, the love and the passion of the monks but also a promise, the fact that part of the sales of the wines the money will be used for the restoration of the sacred relics of the Monastery which are a world heritage . Dark purple with purple highlights. Rich in the mouth with aromas of black fruit, licorice and notes of leather and cashew. Fine tannins, long and enjoyable aftertaste. The Field of Saint Sava matures for 24 months in French oak five-barrel barrels and is aged for 12 months in the bottle.
